New range comes on the back of customer feedback into requirements
Cargotec subsidiary Kalmar has unveiled its latest range of empty container handlers, announcing the DCG80-100 range in Germany last week.
According to the company, the new range has been developed from customer research that focused on better performance, greater reliability with less downtime, and lower running costs.
“Our new range of empty container handlers offers more than ever before, giving customers much more for their money,” Kalmar sales and marketing director Alf-Gunnar Karlgren says.
“They are the most reliable and robust range of empty container handlers on the market, with higher uptime and lower total running costs than competing machines.
“This, combined with the high re-sale value of all Kalmar empty container handlers, means that the DCG80-100 range offers the best lifetime value currently available.”
Offering single and double stacker models in 8-, 9- and 10-tonne capacities, Kalmar says the DCG80-100 range ship with a number of safety features, such as reverse warning, fire suppression, alco lock, tyre pressure monitoring and additional lighting, and can be specified with varying drive lines, lifting heights, spreaders, and performance levels.
For the operator, the new Kalmar range features the EGO cabin, which the manufacturer says combines “advanced ergonomics, improved visibility, and the option of either a high or low position on the chassis.”
The DCG80-100 range also includes the equipment and optimisation tool SmartFleet for managers to analyse data into efficiency and productivity.
Kalmar says service intervals have also been increased.
