JD Logistics has reported record-breaking numbers across orders received thorough its global overseas warehouse network in the recent Black Friday sales, including at its Australian sites.
Order volume from its No. 2 warehouse in Sydney has been labelled as record-breaking alongside the No.1 Japan warehouse for same-day fulfilment, while its European sites saw a 200 per cent increase in orders.
In North America, orders for a flagship beverage container brand surged over 300 per cent, while a leading suitcase brand increased by 400 per cent. Overall, JD Logistics secured a 24-hour on-time outbound rate as high as 99.8 per cent.
Data shows the overall on-time outbound rate for JD Logistics’ international warehouses reach as high as 99 per cent, with picking efficiency increased fivefold due to the application of automation technologies including AGVs and sorting robots.
The increased international demand for JD Logistics’ services has come soon after a recent commitment from the company to double its overseas warehouse space by the end of 2025 as part of its broader global supply chain strategy.
As of June 2024, it operated almost one million sqm of warehouse space in key markets with almost 100 bonded, direct-mail and overseas warehouse spanning the globe.
