Former Australia Post executive James Dixon has been appointed as CEO of Ron Finemore Transport.
Dixon had been employed at Australia Post for over a decade prior to the appointment, first in the role of General Manager of Networks and E-Commerce Deliveries for almost ten years before being named as Divisional General Manager South in early 2022.
He was also appointed to the Australian Trucking Association Board in May 2024, alongside current Managing Director of Ron Finemore Transport, Mark Parry.
Ron Finemore Transport was established by Ron Finemore AO in 2004 following the acquisition of Lewington’s Transport. The further acquisition of Smith’s Transport formed the foundation of the company.
The company was borne out of Finemore’s prior sale of Finemore Holdings in 2001.
The company’s head office is based in Wodonga on the NSW/Victoria border and provides regional and inter-capital city line-haul road transport services across food and produce, and manufactured goods and bulk liquids.
Its fleet consists of over 280 prime movers and 550 pieces of trailing equipment.
