Cubic Transportation’s Antony Dixon has been appointed to the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) New Zealand board to bolster its depth of global transport experience.
Dixon currently holds the position of business development director at Cubic Transportation Systems and has over two decades of experience in senior roles across New Zealand’s information technology and manufacturing sectors.
ITS New Zealand aims to support the understanding, development and adoption transport solutions aimed at the nation’s future needs.
Dixon says he wants to help make New Zealand’s transport system a world leader in reliability and efficiency.
“As a board member I want to help grow and showcase our membership and seek opportunities for collaboration between global and local exemplars,” Dixon says.
“My focus will be on assessing options that can improve the commuter experience, at the centre of which is enhancing the payment process.
“We can draw on Cubic’s capabilities seen in other global cities to help make this happen.”
Dixon also holds the role as global lead for Cubic’s internal employee resource group c-green initiative, in which he is focused on furthering the company’s environmental pursuits and reduce to organisation’s carbon footprint.
