Isuzu launches recall information portal

Customers can enter VIN to see if vehicles are affected by a recall, in addition to regular Isuzu notification processes

No company wants to have to recall their stock, but Isuzu Australia is making the system easier for its customers – setting up a new online search tool to help owners see if a recall affects them.

The Recall Information Portal allows customers to enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for information on any outstanding recalls.

If a customer’s truck is affected, they will be guided onto the next steps to resolve the recall within the same online portal.

Isuzu Australia says the portal will be further supported with updates to its regular customer notification processes, set to be introduced early next year.

National service manager Bill Holland says the portal is designed to ensure customer safety, by giving customers appropriate instructions and an action plan to follow in the event of a product recall.

“This is especially valuable for those looking at buying second-hand Isuzu products, allowing customers to easily access recall information attached to particular models,” he adds.

“This also creates an added channel for us to enhance communications for our customers and, importantly, ensure their safety at all times.”

The portal can be found here.
