Isuzu launches Breathe Easy campaign to sell the environmental benefits of its 2008 truck range
Japanese manufacturer Isuzu has launched its Breathe Easy campaign in an effort to push the environmental benefits of its new truck range.
The campaign gives buyers of 2008 Isuzu model vehicles the choice of having decals advertising the truck’s emission levels.
The initiative marks the second phase of Isuzu’s Green Campaign, which aims to promote the manufacturer’s carbon-friendly vehicles in terms of particulate matter.
According to a statement from the company, Isuzu is the only Japanese conventional diesel manufacturer in the light and medium duty truck markets to meet stringent EuroIV emissions standards.
Isuzu is also flagging the environmental benefits of its FX and Giga models, which it claims eclipse Euro 5 levels, allowing the trucks to meet ADR80/03 standards not due for introduction in Australia until 2011.
The marketing manager of Isuzu, Jeff Birdseye, says the Breathe Easy program allows Isuzu owners to show their support for reducing their impact on the environment.
“In recent times the truck market and our society in general has become increasingly concerned about environmental issues and adopting ways in which we can minimise our footprint,” Birdseye says.
The Breathe Easy kits offer a choice of five decals including a windscreen banner, bumper sticker, truck door as well as truck front and rear decals.
