Brisbane Isuzu sells the brand's 250,000th truck, a medium-duty FRR 110-260 MWB Auto
Queensland-based civil and equipment hire specialists Sherrin Rentals last week became the recipients of the 250,000th Isuzu truck to be sold in Australia.
Sherrin Rentals took delivery of a brand-new medium-duty FRR 110-260 MWB Auto in Pinkenba, Brisbane.
The latest Isuzu sold in Australia was fitted with a 13-metre elevated work platform and was processed through the Brisbane Isuzu dealership, bringing up a major milestone for the Isuzu brand as it celebrates 50 years selling trucks in Australia and 33 consecutive years as truck market leader.
Sherrin Rentals MD Grant Sherrin was delighted with the new addition, which was decked out in company colours to suit their purpose-built Pinkenba workshop.
“The reliability of the product and it being fit-for-purpose are factors, we’ve been very happy with the performance of Isuzu as Sherrin Rentals continues to expand,” Sherrin says.
“This particular model was chosen for its payload capacity and its suitability to match our body build with the correct distribution of weight over the axles.”
The milestone truck sale is especially important for Isuzu, who have been in a partnership with Sherrin Rentals for many years in Queensland.
Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) fleet sales manager for Queensland and Northern Territory Steven Goulding had nothing but praise for the historic transaction.
“It’s fantastic to be standing here, having worked with the Sherrin family and the business for a long time,” Goulding says.
“The addition of this truck to their fleet reflects not only their support for us, but how strongly the Isuzu product has supported businesses over the 50 years we’ve been operating in Australia.
“For fleets like Sherrin, having the comfort of the market leader behind them and our broad product range of over 200 models to specify from gives them peace of mind you just can’t find elsewhere.
“As far as Isuzu’s concerned, reliability is everything.
“Our dealer network, such as the team at Brisbane Isuzu, help us in making sure we live by those words.”
But the milestone 250,000th sale of an Isuzu truck to a valued customer like Sherrin Rentals wasn’t just momentous for the two parties.
Truck Salesman at Brisbane Isuzu Eagle Farm Oscar Akbar says the dealership team were rapt to facilitate the sale to a loyal customer who was important to the local industry.
“Being on this journey with Sherrin Rentals and being here for the delivery of the 250,000th truck is a very auspicious occasion for Brisbane Isuzu,” Akbar says.
“We’ve had a long, outstanding relationship with the Sherrin family, which I believe remains strong because our core values of conduct, capability, performance and integrity are well-matched.
“I hope I am involved in the delivery of the 300,000th Isuzu truck in the future!”
