Isuzu Australia has promoted one of its own into a crucial role within the organisation
Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has announced the promotion of Nathan Ton to the position of Head of Network Development.
Ton brings more than 20 years of experience in the automotive sector to the role, with prior management experience at GM Holden as well as more than nine years as IAL’s National Network Development Manager.
Isuzu says that Ton’s appointment comes on the cusp of significant growth and change for IAL, with 2023 set to be the 35th consecutive year of truck sales leadership for Isuzu Trucks, while a new product line-up is expected to arrive in Australia next year.
IAL chief of sales and aftersales Ben Lasry says that Ton’s relationship with the Isuzu Dealer Network and his deep knowledge of dealer requirements will be critical to this important position at IAL.
“Nathan’s extensive experience at Isuzu and his existing ties with our dealers make him an optimal choice for leading the Network Development Team into the future,” Lasry says.
“With the heavy vehicle industry in a time of flux with zero-emission technology incoming and customer requirements rapidly evolving, Nathan will play a critical role in ensuring our dealerships are resourced to meet these challenges.
“Nathan is currently working with dealers to ensure that we have the right footprint across the country to meet customer requirements.”
Ton says his aim in the new role is to further bolster the supply chain and support for Isuzu Trucks and its Power Solution Dealers.
“IAL takes great pride in its national network of dealers and duly recognises the value of those resilient business relationships within each zone that have been built over years and decades,” Ton says.
“It is my goal to continue this close method of collaboration and where required look at expanding to the right places for our customers.”
Ton says an immediate priority will be to build on the successes of IAL and work closely with Isuzu Trucks Dealers for the benefit of all its stakeholders.
“I see further opportunities to work together to enhance what is already a very strong business,” Ton says.
“We have an unrivalled product range and over the coming years that will only improve with the new model line-up and technology offering coming from Isuzu Japan.”
