IRU finalises leadership voting

The IRU General Assembly has elected the members for its governing board starting January 1, 2025, with President Radu Dinescu earning a third term at the helm of the international organisation.

IRU acts as the voice for over 3.5 million transport companies operating in 100 countries around the world, and the recent voting included appointing the president and boards to the IRU Goods Transport Council, IRU Passenger Transport Council and IRU General Assembly.

For the first time the Presidential Executive will contain four women, including newly elected President of the IRU Passenger Transport Council Anna Grönlund.

The voting took place over two days in Geneva, Switzerland.

The new leadership from January 1, 2025, is as follows:
