Inseego announces rebranding of telematics business

Inseego has announced it is relaunching its Ctrack telematics business under a new name

5G edge cloud solutions leader Inseego Corp. has announced the relaunch of its Ctrack telematics and asset tracking businesses in the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand under the Inseego name offered through the company’s 5G Intelligent Edge business unit.

This relaunch comprises an important part of Inseego’s ongoing strategy to focus solely on target markets closely aligned with the company’s 5G and enterprise initiatives, including an expansion of its telematics offerings with solutions which combine artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G to deliver business intelligence at the edge.

“As we continue to focus on the global growth of our 5G business, the evolution of this business unit is core to our strategy, particularly for enterprise initiatives,” Intelligent Edge Solutions senior vice-president and general manager John Weldon says.

“It sets the stage for the introduction of innovative solutions, to be powered by our new 5G Intelligent Edge SaaS platform, which is slated to launch later this year.”

The current intelligent edge portfolio includes telematics solutions spanning fleet visibility, asset management, driver monitoring and management, as well as video AI and dash-cams.

Inseego says these connected smart solutions allow businesses to streamline operations by increasing efficiency, safety, and savings.

With the capability to support thousands of vehicles, assets and personnel, these solutions cover all types of vehicles and equipment across a range of industries including construction, transport and logistics, government, and natural resources.

The forthcoming 5G Intelligent Edge SaaS offering leverages the power of 5G with video, AI, and the company’s historical telematics business to provide actionable insights at the edge which can help transform how enterprises across the globe improve operating outcomes to create sustained value for themselves and their customers.

Having originally joined Inseego in 2016, and being most recently known as Ctrack by Inseego, combining over 35 years of telematics experience with Inseego’s existing strength in 5G will not only differentiate the business from prior competition but deliver new opportunities to existing customers, as well as extend their capacity to service new ones.

Inseego Corp. is an industry leader in intelligent device-to-cloud solutions that extend the 5G network edge, enabling broader 5G coverage, multi-gigabit data speeds, low latency, and strong security to deliver highly reliable Internet access.

Inseego’s mobile broadband, fixed wireless access (FWA) solutions, and software platform incorporate the most advanced technologies (including 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, and others) into a wide range of innovative products that provide robust connectivity indoors, outdoors and in the harshest industrial environments.

Inseego’s products and SaaS solutions that provide the highest quality wireless connectivity for service providers, enterprises, and government entities worldwide are designed and developed in the USA.
