Gateway Specialised Transport joins Armitage Logistics Group

Queensland-based, crane-focused transport operators join forces

Queensland industry consolidation sees Armitage Transport acquire Gateway Specialised Transport.

Armitage, a south east Queensland transport and logistics operator based in Crestmead, Brisbane, was established in the late 1980s. It provides bulk, full-load transport services with specialised flat top trucks and crane truck delivery options.

Its fleet of more than 20 company-owned vehicles range from six-tonne flatbeds to semi-trailers with or without cranes fitted.

Gateway is listed as also operating since the 1980s, with a fleet of crane trucks, low loaders and tilt trays offering over dimensional transport and franna crane hire to south east Queensland and beyond.

“After months of collaboration and consideration, the ink has dried and we’re so pleased to welcome Gateway Specialised Transport to the Armitage Logistics Group,” an Armitage statement reads.

“The opportunity came at the perfect time for us as we were looking for key opportunities that would allow us to expand our services to you as well as reach new customers.

“Gateway Specialised Transport has been providing innovative transport and lifting solutions in SE Queensland for over 30 years.

“With a fleet of Franna cranes, crane trucks, tilt trays, low loaders and specialised trailers, Gateway Specialised Transport is an excellent addition to our group.”

Gateway notes it has depots in Crestmead, Hemmant and Geebung.
