Just days after revising its earnings guidance due to Covid-19 impacts, better news for Lindsay Australia sees the renewal of its vaunted Visy distribution agreement.

The deal extends a strategic partnership that began in 2014, and is effective January 1, 2021 for a five-year term.

The partnership involves Visy supplying corrugated packaging products, supporting Lindsay’s broad product and service offering to its horticultural customers.

Meanwhile, Lindsay supplies logistics and transport services to Visy, "which offers significant operational synergies to both Lindsay Australia and Visy".

"The new agreement with Visy solidifies and extends our exceptional partnership with Visy, supporting our business outcomes and broad services offering," MD Kim Lindsay says.

"Our partnership with Visy is critical to meeting our customer’s needs across logistics, packaging and rural service proposition."

The value of the contract is not disclosed but in an interview with ATN in the company lauded its "multi-million dollar deal" with Visy.

 "We are pleased to extend our strategic partnership with Lindsay in order to continue our service offering to the market," Visy executive Peter Lloyd says.

"Visy enjoys a strong relationship with Lindsay's and we are pleased this will continue for a further 5 years."
