Association expands membership service offering in state’s north
The Queensland Trucking Association (QTA) has appointed Frances Schafer to head its newly expanded north Queensland operations.
As membership development officer (NQ), Schafer will oversee the northern region of Queensland, offering mobile coverage and be a resource for members in the north.
Based on the Tablelands, with previous experience at Tropic Petroleum and IOR Petroleum, she will be responsible for expanding the QTA service offering through personal contact with members and identifying projects and programs that benefit members in the region.
The QTA has been busy advising the state government on coronavirus impacts
“Growing up and working in the transport and fuel industries in the north she has a solid understanding of the industry and the people in the region,” the association notes.
“Frances possesses a passion for the industry and understanding of the hardworking and reliable people involved in the industry.
“We welcome Frances to our team and we look forward to expanding our service offering to our valued members in the North.”
Accompanying the expansion, QTA announces Trailer Sales (NQ) as its inaugural North Queensland partner.
In its communique, QTA also notes its president Julie Russell recently stepped down from accreditation service TruckSafe’s board after taking up a similar role with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
