ACFS hails Fremantle double appointment

Wayne Jenkins and Anthony Hughes enlisted to WA operations

Australian Container Freight Services (ACFS) Fremantle has announced the appointment of Wayne Jenkins as its state manager, alongside new transport and depot manager Anthony Hughes.

Jenkins had been acting in the role of Western Australia state manager for the past month and prior to that was the Queensland depot manager.

His career at ACFS has spanned more than a decade, where he has also been transport operations manager.

Meanwhile, Hughes “joins us externally and comes with a wealth of management experience grained from a range of transport and logistic companies”, ACFS notes.

That includes roles as senior operations manager at Toll Group, various managerial roles at Qube, and a stint at BHP among others.

“Wayne and Anthony and their team have had a hugely successful first month, with outstanding KPI results all round,” ACFS says.

“Great to see the continuous improvement that is taking place, we are excited for what lies ahead.”
