Cummins South Pacific gives first-year trio chance to learn
Three apprentices are to join delegates at the ATA’s 2018 Technology and Maintenance Conference (TMC), through Cummins South Pacific scholarships.
Cummins South Pacific has provided the scholarships, giving each recipient one full delegate registration to TMC 2018, including attendance at the Paccar Parts Fun Night and the Castrol Vecton Awards Dinner.
“Cummins South Pacific have given these heavy vehicle apprentices an invaluable opportunity to further their careers and build their professional networks,” ATA chair Geoff Crouch says.
“Over the course of the conference, the scholarship recipients will gain training and knowledge from industry leaders, trainers and regulators, and participate in a range of hands-on workshops.”
The 2018 Cummins South Pacific Scholarship recipients, all first-year apprentices, are:
- Georgia O’Brien, CMV
- Joshua Borninkhof, Westar
- Jarrod Milhalj, Cummins Laverton.

“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Australian Trucking Association,” Cummins South Pacific manager, on-highway sales and customer support, Scott Alexander says.
“This program is critical in supporting the professional growth of young people entering the industry’s workshops. Today’s apprentices are the future of our industry.”
The 2018 Technology and Maintenance Conference will be held in the Melbourne Docklands, from October 15-17.
