Walters joins K&S Corporation board

Former Westpac SA chairman to sign on to board later this month

A former chair of partners for the South Australian offices of professional services company KPMG has joined the board of trucking company K&S Corporation as a non-executive director.

Graham Walters will join the board of the company with effect from  May 22, with company chairman Tony Johnson saying he was looking forward to the contribution he would make.

“Mr Walters brings with him a wealth of experience from his professional background and from acting as a director and financial advisor to numerous public, private and governmental entities,” Johnson says.

With a background as a chartered accountant, Walters has also worked as a former chairman of Westpac South Australia and sits on the board of Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance, SA’s largest private hospital group.

The appointment comes after K&S recorded a rise in net profits in the first half of the 2017-18 financial year, on the back of improved trading in its Western Australian and Northern Territory resources businesses.
