Host HVIA pleased with its choice of industry ambassador
Western Australian transport innovator Urszula Kelly will feature as a guest speaker at this year’s ComVec conference in Melbourne.
Kelly, who is the founder and MD of UC Logistics Australia, won the Young Professional of the Year Award at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA) National Excellence in Transport and Logistics Awards last year.
“With over 10 years of experience from both Europe and Australia, Urszula is pursuing her passion of improving the industry through safety, innovation, commitment, accountability and transparency,” conference organiser Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) states.
“She is a passionate supporter and promoter of small fleet operators, and with a willingness to speak out on key issues, has quickly established respect amongst her peers.”
HVIA chief executive Todd Hacking says the ComVec conference is the “perfect place to showcase the synergies between the two organisations, and with the perfect industry ambassador in Urszula Kelly”.
“Urszula has made an enormous impact as a young influencer, promoting and advocating for the road transport industry, with a determination to explore opportunities for the industry to evolve, whether through new technologies, better training, improving industry image or updated practices,” he says.

The heavy vehicle engineering and technical conference will be held on April 12 and 13 at the Melbourne Park Function Centre.
The collaborative knowledge-sharing forum covers topics such as future technology, innovation, government policy, vehicle standards and regulations.
The two-day conference will bring together all sectors of the industry including trailer manufacturers, body builders, specialised vehicle manufacturers, vehicle modifiers, designers, engineers and operators involved in specifying or purchasing heavy vehicles.
