NHVR announces next round of COR sessions

Information sessions to be held across different locations in Queensland, Victoria, NSW, SA and Tasmania

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has announced a second phase of Chain of Responsibility (COR) industry sessions for October and November.

Following on from information sessions held earlier this year, the upcoming sessions “aim to build the capability of a business to identify risks associated with its transport activities and understand how Safety Management Systems can assist to manage risk and comply with obligations under the HVNL,” the NHVR says.

The sessions are in advance of the changes to the Chain of Responsibility laws in mid-2018 and are limited to two people per business.

Five sessions will be held in Queensland from 4 to 11 October.

Five will be held in Victoria from 17 to 20 October.

Six will be held in New South Wales from 23 to 27 October.

Five will be held in South Australia from 30 October to 2 November.

Three will be held in Tasmania from 14 to 15 November.
