VTA announces speakers list for 2017 state conference

This year’s conference to focus on productivity guidance

The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) is holding its annual conference in Lorne from June 4-6.

The theme of this year’s conference is: Make your business more productive – learn from the experts.

The three-day event will provide an opportunity for industry members to discuss prominent issues, and receive updates from those responsible for setting the legislative and regulatory agenda that impacts transport operators and their businesses, VTA CEO Peter Anderson says.

Keynote speakers include: Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) director programme delivery Simon Thomas; Viva Energy Australia national sales manager (transport) Jonathan Dexter; DP World Australia COO Max Kruse, WorkSafe Victoria regional operations manager Ian Matthews, and CMV-Volvo product manager Thiago Leal.

Other speakers include: federal infrastructure minister Darren Chester, shadow Victorian ports minister David Hodgett, National Transport Commission (NTC) CEO Paul Retter, and Victorian Small Business Commissioner Judy O’Connell.

“These addresses will be supplemented by panel presentations and discussion from equipment manufacturers and suppliers, insurance and finance providers, human resources, and superannuation and legal experts, all geared towards helping delegates make their business more productive,” a VTA statement notes.
