Leadership change at top of Secon Freight Logistics

Nailer to be CEO as Brendon Considine steps up to oversee group

Leading transport company Secon Freight Logistics has appointed Steve Nailer as its new CEO.

Nailer, who previously served as Secon’s general manager, has been promoted as part of a restructure following ongoing substantial growth at the company.

“The restructure supports plans for Secon Freight Logistics and the wider Secon group to undertake a further aggressive expansion over the next three years as part of Secon’s new corporate strategy,” the company says.

Former CEO Brendon Considine has assumed the role of group MD, overseeing governance of the wider group, ensuring sustainability while the company executes its new strategy.

“Steve Nailer has played an instrumental role in Secon’s development over the years, and under his leadership the company couldn’t be better positioned to move into a bold new era,” Considine says.

Secon has recently completed a rebranding that will roll out across all the business touch points in 2017, including the Secon fleet, properties and online presence.

“I’m honoured to assume the role of CEO at such an exciting time for Secon,” Nailer says.

“We have a long and proud history but our focus is always on the future, and we have big plans over the next few years to grow Secon’s reputation in the industry as the company you can rely on for service, experience and trust.”
