Chellew promoted to chairman at Cleanaway

Martin Hudson’s sudden departure sees current Manufacturing Australia chairman take lead role at Cleanaway

Former Manufacturing Australia chairman Mark Chellew has filled the role of chairman at Cleanaway following a sudden exit of former boss Martin Hudson.

Chellew has served as independent non-executive director of the company since March 2013 and was appointed deputy chairman in February this year.

He is currently the executive chairman of Manufacturing Australia.

Until May 2014, he served as the managing director and chief executive officer of materials producer Adelaide Brighton.

The change took place late last month, a few weeks ahead of the waste transport management company’s general meeting.

Hudson has also stepped down from his role of company director.
