Linfox to host warehouse training courses

Linfox has joined with a Melbourne community group to train students on logistics

Freight giant Linfox has announced it will be teaming up with community group Kensington Neighbourhood House to provide warehousing logistics training for students.

The Linfox Operational Training (LOT) centre in Laverton, Victoria will play host to the Prepare for Work in Warehousing course this month and offer students the chance to earn a logistics qualification.

The students, for many of whom English is a second language, will learn language and practical skills Linfox says, and upon completion of the course will receive their high risk work and forklift truck licences.

Linfox operational training manager Asia Pacific Peter Nemtsas says the students will be under the capable hands of expert guidance of LOT trainer Stephen Kilmartin.

“The team at LOT is looking forward to welcoming the students from Kensington Neighbourhood House for their forklift training,” he says.

“Linfox provides industry leading training and licensing in a wide range of operational skills including logistics, driving operations and warehousing.

“Many of the student’s already have overseas logistics experience. Our recruitment team is also assisting them by providing guidance on resumes and job interviews.”

Information on enrolling in the courses, which run over two days from August 8 and August 15, are here.
