Direct Couriers buys Adelaide courier company

The AutoSmart Couriers acquisition is expected to improve the company’s presence in SA

Sydney-based courier company Direct Couriers recently purchased automotive delivery provider AutoSmart Couriers at an undisclosed price.

The acquisition will see AutoSmart employees, customers and resources come under the Direct Couriers banner.

The buyout is expected to boost Direct Couriers’ presence in the Adelaide market.

“We hope this merger will provide all of AutoSmarts customers with an enhanced service offering, greater technology solutions and continued great customer service that they have known to expect,” a Direct Couriers statement reads.

“The new acquisition re-enforces Direct Couriers commitment to the Adelaide market as we continue to grow and expand the business in Adelaide and all other states around the country.”

Direct Couriers operates across Australia and New Zealand, with offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Auckland.

The company owned over 650 vehicles and employed around 130 office staff before the merger.
