FedEx to launch new flexible delivery service in Australia
Kim Garner says the new system is aimed at bringing more convenience to customers

FedEx Australia will soon launch its latest flexible delivery service, My FedEx Delivery, which aims to offer users more flexibility to customise home delivery using a range of new options.

Among other features, the new system allows customers to receive notifications regarding incoming packages, sign for packages online, change the delivery date and venue, and, where applicable, hold the package for pickup at a location convenient to them.

FedEx Express Australasia managing director Kim Garner says the new system is aimed at bringing more convenience to its customers.

The result of a two-month trial in Sydney showed that about three-quarters of the customers opted to change the delivery option for their packages.

As the e-commerce sector continues to grow, FedEx is attempting to improve customer experience across its digital platform.

"My FedEx Delivery is an example of how we’re using digital solutions to improve successful deliveries the first time and adapt to the rapidly changing needs of our customers," Garner says.

Owing to one of the highest rates of online sales in the Asia-Pacific region, Australia has been chosen as the first country to avail this service.
