Supply chain company CEVA Logistics has won two new contracts to handle Mazda Australia’s national transport services.

The new deals make CEVA the sole transporter for Mazda vehicles between their arrival at the wharf and the dealerships in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

CEVA Australia and New Zealand managing director Casey Fisher says the new agreements reaffirm a growing relationship between the companies that stretches for 20 years.

"We see it as confirmation that our past performance and future plans are meeting their needs, and we will stay focused on delivering a range of service improvements to ensure all vehicles arrive at their destination in factory condition on or ahead of time," Fisher says.

"That includes adopting a national pre-delivery notification process for Mazda that uses our bespoke C-PoD technology for instant, real time information about every aspect of the vehicle transport process."

CEVA will also manage the processing and storage of Mazda vehicles in Western Australia and continue ongoing commitments in New South Wales and Queensland.

The new contracts add to a big few months for CEVA, with the automotive supply chain specialist announcing expansion plans in May.

The plans include a new Melbourne ‘super site’ and network expansions in Brisbane, Auckland and Perth.

On the back of new vehicle models launching during the year, Mazda Australia’s national operations manager Kym Mellow says the company is experiencing record growth.
