New shadow transport and roads ministers in NSW

Opposition leader unveils his new post-election frontbench team

NSW has a new shadow cabinet, including a new foil for roads minister Duncan Gay.

The newly-elected member for the Sydney seat of Strathfield Jodi McKay has been named the opposition spokeswoman for roads, maritime and freight, and will face-off with Gay over high profile transport sector issues, including road pricing and access for heavy vehicles.

Labor’s member for Keira Ryan Park will take on a broader transport and infrastructure role, responsible among other factors for Labor’s continuing opposition to the WestConnex toll road project.

Penny Sharpe held the role previously, but was defeated at the election on March 28.
