A limited edition gold Mack Truck will be put under the hammer at this year’s President’s Charity Dinner auction in Brisbane.

The event, run by the Commercial Vehicles Industry Association of Queensland (CVIAQ) will be held on May 31 to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland.

The auction will feature the last remaining 50th anniversary Southern Cross Titan prime mover, dubbed Goldie.

The dinner is now in its 12th year and has raised more than $1 million since 2002 to support patients and families affected by blood cancer.

"We are delighted once again to be the beneficiary of the President’s Charity Dinner which promises to be a fantastic evening and a highlight of the industry calendar," Leukaemia Foundation Queensland CEO Bill Petch says.

"Our sincere thanks must also go to Mack Trucks who have generously donated a very special edition of their prime mover for auction."

The dinner is being held at Brisbane City Hall and will include a three course dinner, a raffle, entertainment and the auction.
