As part of its recent 25th anniversary celebrations, Freightliner Australia has auctioned off a limited edition Harley-Davidson customised Coronado 114.

Spirited bidding ensued throughout the auction, with several buyers vying for the truck and when the hammer managed to obtain $16,000 over the reserve price. The $16,000 was then handed over to Freightliner’s partner charity, Brainwave Australia.

As a long-term partner of Freightliner, this year also marks Brainwave’s 20 Year Anniversary supporting children with paediatric brain illnesses.

Hosted by MC Shane Jacobson, the winning bid in the auction was placed by Daimler Trucks Perth, part of Australia’s largest automotive group, AHG.

The Coronado 114 has been utilised by Harley-Davidson to transport their merchandise and special events trailers to events throughout Australia in 2013. Harley Davidson decals and a fully customised Harley interior make this truck truly unique.

"We couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome of tonight’s auction," says Kristi Walker, General Manager Freightliner Australia.

"To be able to donate $16,000 to Brainwave, our partner charity, is an outstanding result. I’m sure the money will go a long way to supporting children with paediatric brain illnesses and their families."

"We’re happy to support Brainwave in this way," says Simon Ramsay, dealer principal of AHG’s Daimler Trucks Perth.

"The customised Coronado 114 will appeal to many of our customers who share a passion for Harley-Davidson as well as Freightliner.

"As a Group, AHG supports more than 150 charitable and community groups across Australia and we hope the money donated to Brainwave helps to support children with brain illnesses and their families," Ramsay says.
