Mack Trucks has unveiled a brand new logo at the 2014 Conexpo-CGG/AGG in Las Vegas.

 

Mack Australias Sales Vice President Dean Bestwick joined Volvo CEO Olof Persson and others on stage at Las Vegas to unveil Mack’s brand new logo. The new logo is quite a radical change as far as logos go, featuring a flatter, more simplistic look, whilst retaining the classic bulldog motif.   

As part of the rebranding, Mack is also introducing a new tagline: Born ready. A Mack media release explains that the tagline is meant to emphasise Mack’s reliability and forward-thinking approach. 

"We believe the refresh of our brand embodies what we’ve stood for in the past and continue to stand for today," Mack Trucks Sales and Marketing President Stephen Roy says.

"We have a great history, great momentum and the conviction that our best days are ahead of us. The brand work we’re rolling out here in Las Vegas clearly communicates the strong position Mack holds today," Roy adds.

Mack’s trademark bulldog logo was officially established in 1922, and originated from British officers in World War I who were said to have admired the tenacity of the trucks.
