Mitch Peden becomes Volvo Australia's vice president for sales

Mitch Peden will take on the job of vice president of sales for Volvo in Australia

Volvo will enter 2014 with a new deputy head of sales for Australia, with Mitch Peden taking on the role from the truck maker’s Brisbane headquarters.

Peden will begin the job of vice president of sales in January and will report to Volvo Australia President Peter Voorhoeve.

Peden is currently second-in-charge of marketing, communications and operational services for Volvo and its other brands, Mack, UD and Renault Trucks, in Australia.

He says he is looking forward to working in partnership with Volvo’s customers and business partners.

“I am honoured to take on this position, and I am even more honoured to be working closely with Australia’s leading transport operators who share our commitment to our core values of quality, safety and environmental care,” Peden says.

He previously worked as a regional sales manager for Volvo between 2005 and 2010 and held positions with Holden and Ford before that.
