This year’s Sydney Convoy for Kids will celebrate its 21st birthday on October 28 when the big rigs will roll towards Sydney’s Olympic Park.

The Convoy For Kids Sydney was first held in 1992 and 21 years later a dedicated team of volunteers from transport and associated industries continue to give up their valuable time to raise money for charity.

Since its inception, Convoy For Kids Sydney has raised more than $1.7 million for the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, NRMA Careflight, NETS (Neonatal & Paediatric Emergency Transport Service) and Telstra ChildFlight.

This year’s event will see the convoy assembling at Huntingwood Drive, Huntingwood from 5am. The trucks will depart at 8am, proceeding along Jack Brabham Drive, Great Western Highway, Wallgrove Rd, M4 Freeway, Homebush Bay Drive, Australia Avenue into Olympic Boulevard at Sydney Olympic Park.

Organisers have requested trucks be restricted to bobtail if possible. Entry donations start at $30 for owner-drivers.
