Centurion logistics wins Wheatstone contract

Western Australian transport firm Centurion has nailed a preferred carrier contract with global engineering firm Bechtel for the Chevron-led Wheatstone gas project.
Described as a "multi-million dollar agreement", the deal includes transportation of cargoes from port to a Perth based consolidation facility and from consolidation to the Wheatstone project site, 12 km west of Onslow, on the Pilbara coast.
Amongst other things, Bechtel will build or install liquefied natural gas storage tanks, condensate tanks and gas turbines for the project.
Estimated to be worth $29 billion, Chevron places Wheatstone as "one of Australia’s largest resource projects".
"The Wheatstone Project will deliver energy, jobs and economic benefits to Australia for decades to come and we are excited to be involved," Executive General Manager Mark Doig (pictured)
says.
"We are keen to establish the project with our dedicated project team and build on our history of WA infrastructure involvement."
