Toll promotes Bishop to powerful new role


Group business development boss to look after big tenders and company's top 50 clients

Toll Holdings has promoted Damain Bishop to the new position of Group Director Business Development.

Bishop’s role will centre on the firm’s top 50 customers, especially those whose needs span more than one division and/or business unit.

"He will be responsible for driving industry sector solution selling as well as creating and capturing opportunities for long term global growth and performance," Toll CEO Brian Kuger says.

"He will be responsible for leading major, complex tenders in Australia and New Zealand."

Bishop, who will also join the Senior Executive Committee and report to Kruger, will play a "critical role in Toll’s ongoing goal to drive organic growth and build the One Toll imperative to offer our customers a complete logistics solution and leverage our synergies".

After 12 years with TNT Express and eight years with Ansett Australia, Bishop joined Toll in 2002 and worked in various sales roles including National Sales Manager, Toll Fast and General Manager, Group Business Development – Australia
