A cyclist has died following an accident with a truck in Melbourne’s Epping

A cyclist has died following an accident with a truck in Melbourne’s Epping.

Victoria Police is investigating the circumstances and believes that the man on the bike was attempting to cross Cooper Street just after 7am when he was struck by a small truck travelling east near the Hume Freeway overpass.

The 61-year-old Lalor cyclist died at the scene.

The 27-year-old Broadmeadows truck driver is assisting police with their inquiries.
