Cummins South Pacific will have a new managing director, with Peter Jensen-Muir stepping into the role to replace Dennis Quinn when he leaves the company in March.

With Cummins South Pacific the largest company-owned distribution network outside of the US, Jensen-Muir is taking over as the company enjoys strong sales growth.

Executive Managing Director of Cummins Asia Pacific Gino Butera says Quinn has overseen a period of sales growth and improved earnings, and says customers and staff will see a smooth transition between bosses.

Butera says Jensen-Muir has over 23 years’ experience with Cummins, and is currently the director of business operations for Asia-Pacific distribution.

He recently returned to Australia after a number of years overseas, including stints in China, Latin America, Europe and North America.

During this time, Jensen-Muir gained experience in power generation, commercial marine, rail, construction and industrial, mining and road transport sectors.
