Two injured in car and truck crash

Car collides with semi-trailer while attempting a U-turn about one hour south-west of the Sydney CBD

Two people were injured yesterday after a car collided with a semi-trailer in NSW while attempting a U-turn.

The crash happened at Appin, about one hour south-west of the Sydney CBD around 6:40pm. Emergency crews had to close a road in both directions to investigate the crash and clean up a fuel leakage.

The 25-year-old male car driver and his 24-year-old female passenger were taken to hospital suffering injuries.

The truck driver was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
