The VFLC has launched a new iPad application for Freight Forward 2011, featuring industry projects

November 21, 2011

The Victorian Freight and Logistics Council (VFLC) has released an iPad application for Freight Forward 2011 that takes a comprehensive look at the state of the industry for the next three decades.

The application, which can be downloaded from the iTunes store for $10.49, highlights key projects that will re-engineer the way business operates in a dynamic environment.

Developed for discussion purposes, the application also helps stimulate engagement between the industry and Victorian Government.

It features a list of possible industry projects, supporting videos that help visualise the infrastructure changes that may occur and critical decisions that are likely to have the most impact on the industry.

It also breaks down key industry modes into road, rail, sea/air, ports and freight activity centres for easy navigation and shows statistics of population and workforce, including implications on the freight and logistics industry.

The application is packed with supporting resources and documents, as well as links to key industry websites.
