Kalari opens new depot to underpin growth in WA

Kalari will open new depot in Western Australia to extend its reach into the resources industry

November 28, 2011

Bulk transporter Kalari will open a new depot in Western Australia next month as part of its push to expand its presence in the resources industry.

To be based 45 minutes south of Perth at Rockingham, the 2.55ha site will be unveiled on December 2.

“The project is part of the company’s vision to maintain a strong presence in the West, and extends our reach in the mining and resources sector,” Kalari Managing Director Greg Holt says.

Kalari, which operates a network of 22 facilities and a fleet of 250 prime movers across the country, built the site alongside the heritage listed Hymus House, a local historic landmark. The company says the building was fully restored during the development of the new site.

The 35-year-old transport and logistics business also has a second Western Australian depot located in Dongara, near Geraldton.
