Former Viking properties up for sale

Receivers McGrathNicol have put two former Viking Logistics sites in Altona for sale.

Real-estate agency Sutherland Farrelly is handling the sale by public tender of the adjoining properties.

They comprise 7,663 square metres at 35-39 Slough Road and 4,720 square metres at 9-13 Chester Road, both in Altona.

Receivers McGrathNicol have put two former Viking Logistics sites in Altona for sale.

Real-estate agency Sutherland Farrelly is handling the sale by public tender of the adjoining properties.

They comprise 7,663 square metres at 35-39 Slough Road and 4,720 square metres at 9-13 Chester Road, both in Altona.

The properties will be sold as vacant possessions, Sutherland Farrelly Associate Director Michael Major says.

“They are ideal for an owner-occupier or an investor,” Major adds.

He put the value of the Slough Road site at about $1.5 million and the Chester Road site at about $1.2 million.

He would not be drawn on the present state of the transport and logistics real estate market in Melbourne or how that valuation rated within it.

McGrathNicol was appointed receivers for 13 Viking-related companies in April though other Viking entities are understood to still be doing business.
