Detectives turn to the public to help solve the theft of two tip trucks and bobcats

October 21, 2011

Queensland detectives have turned to the public to help solve the theft of two tip trucks and bobcats within the last two weeks.

Thieves took off with a tip truck that was parked on a street in East Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, on October 10. The truck was carrying a bobcat.
Queensland Police found the truck burnt out at Traveston, north of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, the next day.

Another truck with a bobcat on a trailer was stolen on October 17 from a business at Torrington, just off the Warrego Highway near Toowoomba. Thieves cut their way through a gate and wire fence to gain entry.

Police found the truck burnt out the next day at Kybong, which is near Traveston and more than three hours north of Torrington.

Both bobcats, and the trailer from the second incident are yet to be located.
