October 31, 2011

A Queensland trucking and warehouse firm has beaten DHL and Patrick to secure retailer Target’s National Supplier of the Year Award for the supply chain category.

All Purpose Transport, which employs more than 260 staff, took home the prize during Target’s annual Supplier Awards event, which was developed to recognise its supply partners.

“All Purpose Transport was fortunate enough to win the highly competitive supply chain category over companies such as DHL and Patricks Port Logistics,” General Manager Paul Kahlert says.

The Rocklea-based company, which boasts a fleet of 180 vehicles ranging from vans to refrigerated trucks and semi-trailers, also services well-known businesses such as IKEA, BP Australia, QR National and Rheem.

The family-owned business was established in 1975 and operates throughout south east and regional Queensland.
