NatRoad hunts for new CEO after Belacic steps down

Industry group to begin looking for a new CEO after Bernie Belacic decides to step down from the position

September 5, 2011

Industry group NatRoad will start hunting for a new CEO after the hard-working incumbent, Bernie Belacic, decided to resign from the role.

While not going into detail, Belacic – who has been a long-time employee of the association – says he will be seeking out a new opportunity "wherever that may be".

The group says it will shortly begin advertising the position for a new CEO and has thanked Belacic for his decade of service.

He will stay on for a short time as part of a transition process to a new CEO, with NatRoad President Geoff Crouch saying the group’s focus will be on recruiting the best person to lead it into the future.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at NatRoad. It has been an incredible opportunity and a steep learning curve. I have the highest of respect for all that conduct business in the trucking industry," Belacic says.

"In the interests of keeping the association moving forward, it is not my intent to leave NatRoad without the opportunity for a smooth transition process to a new CEO."
