Centurion is pitching in to support breast cancer research by introducing pink straps on its fleet of vehicles

September 5, 2011

West Australian transport and logistics operator Centurion is pitching in to support breast cancer research by introducing pink straps on its fleet of vehicles.

The company hopes the sight of pink straps will raise awareness of the issue and support the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s work.

Centurion already uses pink-themed vests for visitors to its Hazelmere facility to help raise funds for the foundation.

Executive General Manager Mark Doig says the initiative might also aid in the return of lost or stolen straps.

“Anyone seeing a pink strap should now recognise it belongs to Centurion and should sit on a Centurion vehicle,” he says.

“We are now moving to pink as the standard colour for our load restraint straps and we hope this can help rectify the alarming loss and wastage of straps that occurs in the industry.”
