Big turnout expected for awards night

Annual Australian Freight Industry Awards attracts big numbers to recognise industry leaders

By Ruza Zivkusic | August 31, 2011

This year’s 22nd annual Australian Freight Industry Award to be held in Melbourne has attracted 1,000 people, the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) says.

The event will be held on Saturday at the Crown Palladium ballroom and is expected to be one of the best award nights held so far, VTA CEO Phil Lovel says.

“Although everyone is doing it tough and business is uncertain, we should celebrate our industry and the people in it,” Lovel says.

“The awards are an opportunity to publicly recognise and honour those working in the industry. Entering the awards is a powerful demonstration that shows your organisation values employees and their contributions.”

“Entering and attending the awards show our customers that we are resilient and committed to furthering this industry.”

Bookings for the event have closed.
