A 20-year-old unlicensed truck driver will face court charged with drug possession

May 20, 2011

A 20-year-old unlicensed truck driver who led police on a pursuit in NSW will face court next month accused of possessing illicit drugs.

NSW Police alleges a highway patrol unit detected a truck speeding on the F3 in Warnervale about 8:45am yesterday.

The driver ignored initial police attempts to pull the vehicle over, leading to the pursuit.

“Police spoke to the 20-year-old driver, from North Manly, and found he was unlicensed. A subsequent search of the truck allegedly located a quantity of amphetamine and cannabis,” a police statement says.

The driver was charged with drug supply and unlicensed driving and will appear in Wyong Local Court on June 15.
