Long-time MTU Detroit employee Geoff Bailey has been appointed the regional manager of the company’s team in Western Australia.

Bailey began his role yesterday and was appointed after stints in sales, operations and management since joining MTU in 1998.

His appointment comes at a busy time for the business, with MTU Detroit Australia President and CEO Rob Sisk saying it is looking at expanding in the mining, oil and gas, marine, power generation and defence markets.

“Our commitment to the west is confirmed by our increased presence in the region’s mining and resources sector, as supported by our new $35 million regional head office opened in,” Sisk says.

Bailey succeeds Mike Cippitelli, who spent 25 years at MTU Detroit.
