Floated Royal Wolf performs strongly first up

Debut day sees container company's share price soar in early trade

Royal Wolf Holdings, the private equity-owned cargo container company made a strong debut in the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today.

Floated by US firm General Finance Corporation (GFC), which still owns 50 percent of the firm, for $1.83 a share, the stock opened at $1.98 and had burst through the $2 mark to sit at $2.01 just after midday today.

Royal Wolf raised $96 million at the close of its initial public offering last Thursday, after expecting to gain $91.5 million.
