Police divert traffic and close section of Cunningham Highway after fatal crash between a motorist and B-double

March 18, 2011

Drivers travelling on the Cunningham Highway can expect lengthy delays and traffic diversions after a woman died during a crash with a B-double.

Queensland Police says the woman died around 7.45am today when she tried to turn south onto the highway and was struck by the northbound truck.

Queensland Police says no-one else was injured.

“Forensic Crash Unit officers are currently at the scene investigating with the north-bound lanes closed,” Queensland Police says in a statement.

“Traffic going in both directions is being alternated through the southern lanes with delays expected in that area for the next few hours.”
