Employers have their say on VET system
Employers will this year get a chance to have their say on the vocational education training system
February 8, 2011Employers will this year get a chance to have their say on the vocational education training system to determine its effectiveness.
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) will survey 7,500 employers. Businesses will be randomly selected to participate and will be contacted from February to June.
"I encourage every employer who is contacted to take part in the survey as it is important that the results represent all organisations, not just those providing training," NCVER General Manager Sandra Pattison says.
"We want to know how Australian organisations employ and train their staff and how effective this training is at meeting their needs."
The survey is conducted on behalf of the Australian, state and territory governments. The results will be published on the NCVER website late this year.
