Industry veteran John Fullerton will replace David Marchant at the helm of the ARTC
Industry veteran John Fullerton will replace David Marchant at the helm of the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) from February next year.
Fullerton has been the CEO of Asia Pacific Transport for the past six years and has worked at Pacific National and Freight Link.
Federal Infrastructure and Transport Minister Anthony Albanese and Finance Minister Penny Wong approved the appointment, with Albanese saying Fullerton joins the ARTC at an important time.
“The organisation is delivering a massive capital works program which is helping transform the interstate rail network by increasing reliability and efficiency,” Albanese says.
Wong says Fullerton has a lot of experience as a leader in rail infrastructure.
“Let me formally thank the current CEO David Marchant who has led the ARTC through an extraordinary period of transformation and growth,” Wong says.
